The Principal Judge, Justice Flavian Zeija has posted a new Resident Judge to Mbale High Court Circuit
Mbale High Court Circuit covers the six districts of Bugisu sub region of Namisindwa, Manafwa, Bududa, Sironko, Bulambuli and Mbale. The others are Kapchorwa, Kween, Bukwo, Butaleja, Tororo, Busia, Kibuku, Budaka, Butebo and Pallisa.
In her letter dated 17th February 2021, Justice Zeija deployed Hon. Justice Margaret Apiny to Mbale High Court Circuit.
“Following your appointment as Judge of the High Court, this is to inform you that you are deployed to Mbale High Court Circuit as a Resident Judge,” reads the letter in part.
The deployment takes immediate effect.
Lady Justice Margaret Apiny was sworn in as a High Court judge at State House Entebbe on the 10th February 2021 by President Museveni a few days after her appointment. The Appointments Committee chaired by the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga vetted Margaret Apiny on 18th December 2020 after her appointment a Judge of the High Court.
